Soooo big news! A little late lol:)

Well the breaking news for us is.....drumroll please!

We are Pregnant again!
Its a little of an oops, but we are getting more used to the idea every day. It's kind of scary to think of having a newborn and an almost 2 year old, but people do it all the time lol. So I know we will make it. We have awesome people around us that love us.

I know I'm just a few weeks along maybe 4, so theres a long way to go.

Dexter will be a good big brother I just know it:) He's learning so much everyday! You can ask him where things are and he goes to get it. He's trying out climbing but isn't to good at it just yet. But he's definitely trying. Dancing is a new favorite, and in the car he loves to jam to some Black Eyed Peas haha. Who knows where he got that from.

He is the silliest little fella.

Snow DAY!

It snowed! So if you live in Odessa you already know that because we woke up to several inches this morning. Some is melting but it's still ridiculously bright and white out there. We played this morning for a bit in it. Dexter thought it was the best thing ever and through quite a fit when I had to bring him in.






It's a nice lazy day. Cody got a call from his boss Early this morning asking him to come in and he'd get to leave at lunch:) Soo awesome...So he is gonna take us to the store after Dexters nap to get some groceries. I hate driving in the white stuff. But we are needing FOOD! LOL and every day other that today I will have my niece all day and though I can totally do two babies at the grocery store, I don't feel like it this week.

Puppies

So my dogs puppies are 4 weeks old!

Yes Im a horrible pet owner by letting my dogs have puppies. To tell you the truth we thought she was fixed. She was a rescue dog. They are Pomeranian puppies as both momma and daddy are Poms. We orinally thought our male Sheltie got her but I know my moms male pom was around her first. And the puppies are a spitting image of mom and dad so we know the Sheltie couldnt of been in the mix.

She had 3 little boys and they are sooo fun. Running around playing and barking. Very spirited happy dogs so far. Dexter is in heaven and loves it when I let them play with him. I don't just let him 'have one' but he is gentle so I let him pet them and get his fingers chewed on. Want one? LOL

A quarter century...that's how old I am today! The big 2-5!

I've had a wonderful past year. Filled with little smiles, big smiles and just pure happiness. I do wish I could just stop the number game at 25! I think I just got a wrinkle!!

Should be a fun day with my boys. Then Dexter is gonna go stay the night at his Nonnies so I can have a few drinks and enjoy the lack of fits for a bit. But the mom in me always hates him spending the night anywhere. I just miss him too much. But I NEED tonight:) And he will get to play with his cousin Evie.

We just found out that we are going to go to Vegas in April!!! Yippee! We went in August of 08' when I was like 4 months pregnant, and already getting swollen and miserable. Then our cat died and we beelined home. It was Cody's favorite cat you see. So this time IT WILL BE FUN!! I want to be a few drinks down when we land:) Time for mommy and daddy to let loose.

Speaking of letting loose. Ive gone from 205 to 180. But Ive been stuck at 180 lbs for the past month!! So I need to break through it. Get back on the ball. At least I haven't gained though. By the time we go to Vegas I hope I can get down to 160 at least. Maybe 155 haha! Id be sooo happy. Im starting back on a better diet and food tracking on Monday the 8th:) I think 20lbs in two months is doable if I work HARD.

Let's see how that goes.

Birthday crazy....

So last sunday my sweet little man turned 1 year old! It was a fun/stressful day. But the fun outweighed the stress ten fold. We had a good party and alot of people came out to show their love! It couldn't of been better.

I cannot believe that a year flew by as fast as it did. Just a year from then Cody and I were relieved and soo excited to finally meet him. And he was sooo cute even though he was puff and bruised from his rough exit. He is sooo worth everything. It seems he went from newborn to toddler over night now.


To Dexter:
What fun it was to see you sit up on your own, eat your first foods, cuddle with you tons<3 Then see you learn to crawl just a few days after moving into our new house. A month later you were pulling up and taking steps. By Christmas you were a full blown walker. Now nothing can stop you, and you don't want to be held LOL. Currently your favorite foods are Yogurt, fruit of any kind but especially Banana, cheese sandwiches, PB&J sandwiches, Ice cream, anything with Tomato sauce. You could care less about potatoes or mac n cheese. You don't really care for juice and that's awesome. You do love to drink water and sometimes milk. But you are currently loving water way more.

You have lot and lots of toys in every room but just like any other toddler you love other things more. Like brooms, pots and pans and so on. Sesame street is where it's at TV wise, and also the good night show on Sprout. Other than that TV isn't a big deal in your busy world.

You're a big guy! You weight 27 lbs right now and you are 32 inches tall. You wear a size 5 shoe and 18mnth clothes.

I cannot wait to experience the next year with you and see you learn more and more new things. Right now you say Mama, Dada, eye, and a few other things that are hard to understand. You LOVE to dance, and pretend to sing. If crayons didn't taste so good you'd probably love to draw too!

Is it Friday yet??

Not that anything exciting tends to happen on Fridays. They are usually just like any other day except there will be some wine in the picture!

This week started out rough for us. Dexter has come down with Bronchiolitis and is taking breathing treatments. Thanks so much Erica & Ryan for letting us use your nebulizer. It really helps him breathe. Last night went alot better than the night before and we both got a little sleep. He is currently watching a bit of barney drinking a nice cold sippy.

The sippy drives me nuts, he will drink from it but half the time just drinks so he can let it dribble out his mouth. Over and over and over again. Anyone have a kid who did this? Please tell me that it will stop eventually.

the big FIRST Birthday is in a little less than 2 weeks! YAY!! Can't believe he is going to be 1 year old<3

Good Bye 2009!

Wow...where did the year go!

2009 was a pretty good year...I didnt really sleep at all this year thanks to being horribly pregnant at the start and having little Dexxie! But I wouldn't trade it for anything! My love for my husband got stronger..he's a saint for putting up with my grouchiness sometimes. We also bought our first house towards the end of the year and that was TOTALLY awesome! So happy about it.

So tomorrow will be the start of a whole new Decade...WTF! Where did the last one go...where was I those 10 years. Hmm I know that I rang in the year 2000 with my best friend at the time Shantal, we braved the Y2k fears and snuck a drink while her parents through a party. Oh man I was 14(about to be 15!) I went on to have crazy high school years, pretend I was in love. In 2003 I graduated and moved out on my own as my whole family moved to Alaska, and I stayed behind. It was soo scary but taught me alot. It also proved to me how much I need them. They came home by the start of 2004 and on January 23rd of that year I went on the first date with my Hubby. Basically we have been together ever since. In Febuary 2006 we were engaged and by the same time in 2007 we were married. I started and stopped a few different jobs and by mid 2008 we were FINALLY pregnant! Fast forward to January 31st 2009 and Dexter Ray was born to us. That sweet little man that has only completed our lives even more. I must say it was sooo much fun to finish out this Decade as a mommy!

Who knows what the next 10 years will bring. Hopefully things only get better. Maybe a few more kiddos, and alot of love. Health and happiness for all of my friends and family. Happy happy New Years!


P.s. I guess my resolution this next year is to just keep on getting fit! Thats about it.
